Meeting of the Expert Council of the National Association of Civil Engineers (NOSTROY) at the NNSUACE UNESCO Chair

On September 19, 2025, the annual meeting of the Expert Council of the National Association of Civil Engineers (NOSTROY) was held in the conference hall of the UNESCO Chair. The NOSTROY Expert Council is an advisory board on legislation in the field of balanced spatial development of the country..

The meeting focused on amendments to the federal laws of the Russian Federation "On the Promotion of Housing Construction, the Creation of Infrastructure for Tourism and Spatial Development" and a number of other laws in the field of urban development, self-regulation in Civil engineering, and the protection of monuments and sites. It is symbolic that this agenda was discussed at the architectural master piece of Nizhny Novgorod – the Markov Mansion. Associate Professor of the UNESCO Chair Alexander Ivanov led a tour of the Manson.

The results of the meeting represent a significant contribution by the professional community of Russian civil engineers to improving Russia's urban planning framework.
